Disclosures
Coaching is not therapy or counseling.
I am not a licensed therapist, counselor, or mental health provider, and coaching sessions are not a substitute for therapy, medical care, or crisis intervention. Coaching is a supportive, forward-focused relationship, not a clinical or diagnostic one.
If you are in crisis:
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or thoughts of harming yourself or others, please contact 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. Coaching sessions are not equipped to provide crisis support.
Confidentiality:
While coaching is not legally protected under HIPAA the way licensed therapy is, I choose to hold our conversations to that same standard of care and confidentiality. Please still keep in mind that coaching does not carry the same legal protections as clinical treatment.
Working alongside your support network:
If you are currently working with a therapist, counselor, or other provider, I'm glad to work alongside that relationship, not in place of it. Coaching is meant to complement, not replace, any clinical care you're receiving.
Accessibility
Sessions are offered by video or phone, whichever feels more comfortable for you. I offer written follow-ups and summaries after sessions for those who find it helpful to have things in writing. Flexible scheduling is available upon request. For those who find phone calls difficult, text communication is available outside of sessions as well.
My goal is to make this space work for you, not the other way around. I'm open to discussing any accommodations that would help make coaching successful for you. If there's something you need that isn't listed here, just ask.
